My recent stay at Aachman Nature Valley Resort in Shimla was a mixed experience. The view from the balcony was breathtaking and the food service was excellent. The hotel also had a kids play area, which was perfect for family stays. If you have your own vehicle, it is a nice option.
There were a few drawbacks. The hotel is located about 1 to 1.5 km downhill from the main road, which is narrow and in poor condition.
